When The Great Patriotic War began Raisa Nazarovna was a second-year student at the medical tekhnikum in [www.letopisi.ru/index.php./english version Perm ]. Studies cut off for the students of tekhnikum with the beginning of the war, because teachers were sent in medicl batallions and heavy week-days of this frightful war also began for the students of the tekhnikum. In 1943, when Raisa Nazarovna was 19 , she received a call-up paper. There were not enough medical workers at the front, and the students of medical educational establishments considered to be prepared medical personnel. At that time Raisa Nazarovna had worked at the printing factory «Goznak» for 2 years already, that's why knowledge got in tekhnikum was forgotten partially. In spite of this fact Raisa Nazarovna was taken to work as a medical assistant in Bauman's hospital in Leningrad,where she worked in a dressing ward and wrote out recipes. The first bandaging of the patient with the gas gangrene of a leg Raisa Nazarovna will never forget. Watching work of surgeon she felt badly and fainted away. But people get accustomed to everything.
